Last night was our Autumn Food Swap, and our fifth event in Olympia. We had a great time with about 20 swappers and I think everyone went home with delicious eats. Through donations we gave Grub about $37 for use of the space. Some of the items at the swap were walnuts, filberts, cocoa mix, hazlenuts, ground cherry jam, curried nuts, coconut syrup, chocolate sauce, fermented pickles, eggplant, sauerkraut, peppers, razor clams, peaches, pears, drunken gingerbread, wine, cider, ginger ale, eggs, elderberry liqueur, chai concentrate, soap, salve, spaghetti sauce, asparagus soup, canned corned beef and cabbage, fruit leather and apple sauce. We are considering a holiday swap, details to come in the next couple of months.
